Hi Guys, here is an update on something I have been working on. The fur/Hair of Galiwango in one of the scenes. This is was one of the earliest tests I did while researching the fur solution for the mountain Gorilla characters.

I wanted to capture the muscular structure of Galiwango even with all the hair overlaying on top of the model. In this Shot, Galiwango is still lacking the Distinct silvery hair on his back – Symbolic of mature Male Mountain Gorillas – Silver backs.

Galiwango Obulamu Bw'ekisodde (Translated: The life of a mountain Gorilla) is a 3D animated film about the story of an orphaned mountain Gorilla called Galiwango. The film explores the challenges that Galiwango encounters when he is captured and sold as a baby on the black market by Kasobeza, a former ranger turned rebel, to an illegal animal trafficking ring leader called Musawo (meaning the Doctor) .
